Machigoku

Machigoku has the oldest and most detailed history. It was formed when a lawful priest and psyonasist claimed final understanding of the spiritual world. There were a few who opposed him, but he was able to subdue them in a non-lethal way.
About eighty years ago the battle of three ruling parties came to a head. The oldest party took the supposed genetic lineage of the first emperor. The second claimed the spiritual leneage of the first emperor. The third group, that also proved victorious, has a more complicated system of rule: the ruler is determined by hatashiai, a duel of psyonic and physical prowess. The loser of a hatashiai usually receives some form of infirmity: broken limb, loss of an eye, ear, or something along those lines.
The people of Machigoku practice meditation to control both the internal and external parts of their bodies. Once a week everyone is required to go to a jinja, a shrine, to be taught how to meditate.
The language of Machigoku is Nihongo. It is the same as what is spoken in Oteragoku.
