Krakas

Krakas is a loose confederation of villages that survive mainly by fishing. During the time of Magdos, the people of Krakas would make statues out of fish bones to denote where their borders were. When Magdos fell, the king of Graymark was pleased to give them back their land.
Despite being a disorganized group on land, the Krakas navy is a disciplined fighting machine. The navy has slain such large creatures that it was said they fed their entire nation off of one for two years. The previous emperor of Machigoku, before his untimely demise, commented that he would not start a way for fear his navy would have to meet Krakas’s in battle.
Krakas, the god, is said to be an enormous sea creature. It is believed that if the admiral slays the current Krakas that he will become the next, more powerful, Krakas. As many of his crew that want to can become his aquatic companions. The form of Krakas is not known, but there are stories of every kind of giant sea creature being possible.
Old Krakas-tongue is mostly extinct, but many shaman still claim to read fortunes in it off of fish.
